Wireless broadband basics
By Communication | July 14, 2009
The wireless technologyĀ helps to gain access to the internet on any device be it the mobile phones or the laptops or for that matter the I-pod by providing high band width speed. The wireless broadband works as follows:
First of all when you request a webpage then the signal is sent to the wireless router and from there on when the requested page is found then the router in turn sends information on your device and you are in turn able to view a page of your choice.
The most popular wireless broadband technology being used these days is the Wi-Fi (wireless fidelity). This is basically used to access the internet over a wireless local area network. The range and speed for the same is however limited.
The other kind of the wireless broadband technology is the Wi-MAX which is more efficient and covers much higher range as compared to Wi-Fi.
