    VoIP hardware basics

    VoIP, Braodband, VoIP is the voice over internet protocol. This is used for talking on the phone with the help of internet. In this case the analog signals are converted to digital signals and transmitted over the internet. The quality of such a voice transaction is high and also it would not drill a hole into your pocket for its quite affordable.

    The hardware employed for VoIP is as follows:

    Router/phone adapter: It allows information to be exchanged between the network connection and the phone and is an important hardware with a number of ports.

    Cables: They are needed for connecting the hardware like routers and adapters

    Analog phones: They are used to transmit the analog signals and are like the ordinary phones the only difference being that they are plugged into the phone adapters.

    The other devices include the plug and play, phone headsets and the headphones along with a microphone.
