    Activating Refurbished Cell Phones

    By Communication | November 2, 2009

nullIf you are trying to get a refurbished cell phone, there are things that you need to watch out for. It might be a good deal if you find the phone upgraded, as mobile technology doesn’t change that often. Firstly check out if the mobile phone is compatible with your present network. There are two types of phones – GSM and CDMA.

Activation of both the networks is different. The GSM networks run on small size removable cards called sim cards. Whereas, the CDMA has no such card and works with the ESN number found below the battery. If you want to activate your GSM phone, all you need to do is get a sim card from the service provider and get started after some regular formalities. In case of the CDMA phone you simply have to give that number for activation from your service provider. Switching over to your refurbished cell phone is made easy following those easy procedures.
